Mechanisms for consumer protection

Key legal acts regulating the protection of consumer rights in financial services:
– The Law of Ukraine ‘On Financial Services and Financial Companies’;
– The Law of Ukraine ‘On Consumer Lending’;
– The Law of Ukraine ‘On Protection of Consumer Rights’.

A consumer of financial services has the right to request the restoration of rights and protection of his or her legitimate interests.
In accordance with the requirements of the Law of Ukraine ‘On Amendments to the Law of Ukraine “On Citizens’ Appeals” regarding electronic appeals and electronic petitions’, citizens may submit written or electronic appeals (proposals, applications or complaints).
