“I am confident that our closer cooperation will have a positive impact on the Ukrainian mortgage market. ‘yeOselia’ is a unique innovative digitalized product and we are ready to share our best practices. We are committed to making the program gradually larger so that as many Ukrainians as possible can buy their own high-quality and modern housing on favorable terms,” – said Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of Management Board at UFHC.

“The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between JHF and UFHC in Berlin demonstrates our commitment to supporting the recovery of wealth and livelihoods in Ukraine. By leveraging JHF’s expertise in housing finance and cooperating with the Japanese government, we aim to address the challenges that hinder mortgage affordability and contribute to the recovery of the housing finance market in Ukraine,” said Yoshida Hideo, Chief Executive Officer at JHF.

In addition, the parties to the memorandum will exchange knowledge, experience and best practices in the development of affordable housing programs and their financing, including practices to restore the housing stock after the destruction caused by russian aggression against Ukraine.
