UAH 50.050 billion — that is the total amount of mortgage loans Ukrainians have already received under the yeOselia programme. This is approximately USD 1.12 billion, equivalent to 87% of the value of one of the world’s most famous skyscrapers, the Empire State Building in New York.
With these funds, Ukrainian families have purchased 1,692,000 m² of housing. If all the floor space acquired under yeOselia were laid out on a single level, it would be almost four times larger than the territory of the Vatican. Compared with skyscrapers, the combined area of the housing purchased is 5.5 times greater than the total floor area of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.
Since the programme launched, 28,239 families have used it. Thanks to yeOselia, 18,053 children have received a home of their own. The largest share of borrowers are military personnel and members of the security sector, for whom mortgages are available at 3% per annum — 46% of all loans, almost half of the total issued.
Over the entire period of the programme, loans have been received by:
- 13,077 families of military personnel and members of the security sector
- 685 veterans
- 1,890 healthcare workers
- 1,888 teachers
- 518 researchers
- 2,377 internally displaced persons
- 7,804 Ukrainians who did not own housing or needed to improve their living conditions
Housing under construction — available across the country
As a reminder, yeOselia allows the purchase of apartments not only on the secondary market but also at the construction stage. As of 1 September 2026, the programme has accredited:
- 158 developers
- 188 residential complexes
- 391 construction sites
- 61,865 apartments
- across 21 regions of Ukraine
The programme also operates in frontline regions. In Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv oblasts, 3,605 loans totalling UAH 12.528 billion have been issued under yeOselia. This confirms that affordable mortgage lending remains a working instrument even in regions that feel the consequences of the war every day.
“Behind every loan issued is a family that has purchased its own home. It matters to us that the number of such families keeps growing. That is why we are working today to ensure eOselia has sufficient resources for further scaling and can help tens of thousands more Ukrainians,” said Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of the Management Board of PrJSC Ukrfinzhytlo.
To develop the programme further, Ukrfinzhytlo is working to attract long-term financing, including from international partners. This approach is consistent with the practices of housing and mortgage systems in many countries around the world and makes it possible to secure resources for the programme years in advance.
“Our task is to make sure eOselia can operate stably and grow for many years. We already see strong demand for affordable mortgages, so together with international partners we are creating opportunities for further financing of the programme. This means new loans, new apartments and houses, and even more Ukrainian families living in homes of their own,” Ievgen Metsger emphasised.
So UAH 50 billion in loans issued is another important milestone in the development of yeOselia and a foundation for further scaling of the programme.
