More than 12.5 thousand families have benefited from the state affordable mortgage program. The volume of loans disbursed in the first 8 months of this year has already exceeded the total amount of loans disbursed for the entire last year and amounts to more than UAH 10 billion. In total, since the beginning of ‘yeOselia’s operation, this figure has passed the UAH 20 billion mark.
Interesting figures about the results of the program:
- ‘yeOselia’ at 3 percent was used by 9,507 families, and at 7 percent by 2,998 families;
- the largest category: military personnel and security forces – 57%;
- loan term: 15-20 years – more than 94% of transactions;
- 65% of all homeowner borrowers are men;
- average loan amount: UAH 1.6 million;
- average real estate area: 56.6 sq. m;
- average down payment amount: 26% of the property value;
- average cost of real estate: UAH 2.19 million;
- ‘yeOselia’ in regional centers: 34% of transactions;
- ‘yeOselia’ in cities and villages: 23% of transactions each;
- ‘yeOselia’ in the capital: 19% of transactions.
We remind you that on 16 August, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine adopted Resolution No. 939 ‘On Amendments to the Terms and Conditions for Providing Affordable Mortgage Lending to Ukrainian Citizens by the Private Joint Stock Company Ukrainian Financial Housing Company’.
Please note that most of the amendments will come into force 30 days after the date of publication of the resolution, except for the possibility for borrowers under the age of 25 to pay a down payment of 10% of the cost of housing and the possibility for IDPs to purchase housing for their first-degree family members.
