16 thousand Ukrainian families have purchased their own housing thanks to the yeOselia programme

The total amount of loans issued exceeded UAH 26.2 billion. This was announced by Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of Management Board at Ukrainian Financial Housing Company (UFHC).

The programme was launched in October 2022 by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and UFHC.

According to Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of UFHC, 16,016 Ukrainian families have already purchased their dream home under the affordable mortgage programme. Thus, yeOselia has become one of the most successful state mortgage programmes since independence.

A little more than half of all borrowers are military and security personnel, who can get a mortgage at 3% – 8,545 loans. This is followed by borrowers who do not own their own housing and who can access the programme on general terms at 7% – 3,724 loans. Almost the same number of loans were granted to teachers and doctors – 1,301 and 1,290 respectively.

Among the total number of real estate purchased by yeOselia participants, 10,728 are so-called “secondary market” housing and 5,288 are “first sale” housing. At the same time, 1,043 of them are under construction.

In addition, in 2024, the terms of the programme were expanded to include the purchase of private houses and townhouses. As a result, 630 borrowers have already purchased such properties.

At the same time, since the beginning of 2025, when the yeOselia registers resumed operation, 1,176 loans for more than UAH 2 billion have already been issued.

This year, Ukrainians used the programme most of all on general terms at 7% – 427 loans, which is 40% of the total number of borrowers. The second place was taken by servicemen and law enforcement officers at 3% – 403 loans (34%) and the third – by internally displaced persons – 128 loans (11% of the total).

“Last year, we refined the terms of the programme several times, in particular to make them more accessible to IDPs. At the same time, today we clearly understand that yeOselia performs not only a social function, helping Ukrainians to buy housing, but also an economic one – it is a real tool that stimulates construction and creates jobs. We continue to work to ensure that as many Ukrainians as possible have the opportunity to buy their own home,” emphasized Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of Management Board at yeOselia.
