Every tenth Ukrainian who has become a homeowner under the state mortgage program has IDP status. UFHC and the Ministry of Social Policy have recently conducted verification.
Thus, among all clients of the program, there are 1585 internally displaced persons, which is 11.3% of the total number of yeOselia participants. This means that yeOselia program is an effective tool for purchasing mortgaged housing on favorable terms, including for internally displaced persons.
Persons belonging to the categories by profession (contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and security forces, doctors, teachers and scientists) can take out a yeOselia loan at 3% per annum and choose housing for up to 10 years in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. In other regions where the program operates, these categories can choose an apartment or a private house for up to 3 years. IDPs can purchase housing with a mortgage for up to 10 years throughout Ukraine at 7% per annum. If a person belongs to this category by profession and has IDP status, he or she must choose one of the benefits when applying for a mortgage.
