The Association of Ukrainian Banks held the first meeting of the Mortgage Lending Development Committee. The Committee was established at the initiative of UFHC. The event was attended by representatives of UFHC, Ukrgasbank, Privatbank, Sens Bank, Sky Bank, Bank for Investment and Savings, Globus Bank and TASCOMBANK.
“I am confident that such a tool as the committee will allow us to keep our finger on the pulse of mortgage lending in Ukraine and direct joint efforts towards its development. Such a platform is now necessary for effective cooperation at all levels, so I am grateful to the Association of Ukrainian Banks for its support and organization” – said Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of Management Board at UFHC, who chaired the committee.
The main issues of the meeting were:
– Implementation of the ‘Developer’s Cabinet’ project, which should simplify the process of submitting applications to partner banks for accreditation in yeOselia
– Possibility to improve the mechanism of income confirmation through a digital labour record book
– Expanding opportunities for participation for privileged categories.
– Involvement of employers and local authorities in the creation of new compensation programmes under yeOselia
– The possibility for banks to use their own liquidity to increase mortgage lending.
