Partial compensation programs for mortgage loans under ‘yeOselia’ are already available in seven regions of the country. The local authorities of Zakarpattia, Odesa, Lviv, Chernivtsi regions and the city of Kryvyi Rih compensate certain categories of borrowers for loan interest. Mykolaiv regional and Ternopil local authorities partially reimburse the down payment.
This assistance is mainly focused on members of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, people with war-related disabilities, combatants, veterans or those who have been released from russian captivity. Each of the regions that have already joined the compensation programs has chosen its own format of assistance with the purchase of housing under the ‘yeOselia’ program:
- Zakarpattia: 3% interest rate compensation for contract servicemen of the Armed Forces and persons with war-related disabilities;
- Odesa region: 3% compensation for contract servicemen of the Armed Forces and security forces;
- Lviv region: 3% compensation for contract servicemen of the Armed Forces and security forces, war veterans and combatants, and persons with war-related disabilities;
- Bukovyna: 3% compensation for contract servicemen of the Armed Forces and security forces, war veterans and combatants, persons with war-related disabilities and internally displaced persons;
- Kryvyi Rih city: 3% compensation contract servicemen of the Armed Forces and security forces, doctors, teachers and scientists;
- Mykolaiv region: partial reimbursement of the first installment to the Armed Forces servicemen who were held captive by russia as a result of countering the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine;
- Ternopil city: partial reimbursement of the down payment to contract servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and security forces.
Such programs of compensation for loans under the ‘yeOselia’ are an additional incentive for regional development and encouragement of local developers. Moreover, it is an additional opportunity to attract representatives of important and needed professions to the regions.
Every region or city in the country, except for the temporarily occupied ones, can join the regional compensation programs under ‘yeOselia’. To do so, local authorities need to contact the program’s partner banks: Oshchadbank, Privatbank, Ukrgasbank, Globus Bank, Sky Bank, Ukreximbank and Sense Bank.
Compensation of interest, down payment or loan from local governments and employers is regulated by the Terms and Conditions of the ‘yeOselia’ program, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers № 856 of 02.08.2022.
