Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) could play a role in strengthening the institutional capacity of UFHC and cooperate with the company to expand the capabilities of its key products.
This was discussed yesterday, on January 18, during an official meeting held at the office of UFHC in Kyiv. The company was represented at the event by Ievgen Metsger, Alla Komisarenko, Oleg Zhuravlov and Serhii Liubenko. The Japanese side was represented by: Toru Kobayaka, Senior Director, and Danjiro Okada, Deputy Director of the Middle East and Europe Department of the Office for Crisis Response, Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine.
Ievgen Metsger welcomed the Japanese delegation to Ukraine and thanked them for supporting our country in such a difficult time. “We are working and generating new products in the financial market despite the war. Ukraine should already think about what will happen when we win. We have to start laying the foundation for our economic recovery today” – he stated. Chairman of Management Board also emphasized the importance of key results of the work of the UHF in the direction of successful launch and moderation of the ‘yeOselia’ program. “The volume of mortgage portfolio issued under the program has already exceeded UAH 10 billion. This is very powerful, given the conditions in which we operate. People want to live and build a life at home, in Ukraine, and our key task is to give them this opportunity” – highlighted Metsger. In addition, he said, the company is very interested in strengthening its international cooperation and is ready to work hard to build its own institutional capacity.
Japanese side, in turn, thanked for the invitation and expressed its support for both UFHC and all the Ukrainian people who continue their struggle. “We see many areas for cooperation. We hope that we will be able to contribute to strengthening your company and further positively influence its investment attractiveness,” said Toru Kobayakawa, Senior Director of the Middle East and Europe Department of the Office for Crisis Response, Recovery and Reconstruction in Ukraine.
