Since the beginning of the year, ‘yeOselia’s partner banks have accredited five new developers who will sell apartments under construction. Such housing can now be purchased in Poltava, Sumy, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Dnipro. This was announced by Chairman of Management Board at UFHC during a speech at a meeting of the Board of Directors of the CBU.
The state mortgage program ‘yeOselia’ aims to stimulate Ukraine’s economic development by boosting the construction market. “We focus on the primary market. We record the demand of citizens for housing under construction. That is, we have clients, and the task of you, as developers, is to give them a choice of apartments,” said Ievgen Metsger. He also added that in the context of a full-scale war, “this is a win-win story for developers, citizens and the state.”
A meeting of the Board of Directors of the Confederation of Builders of Ukraine was held yesterday, February 20, in Kyiv. There, the results of 2023 were summarized and plans for 2024 were discussed. Among the participants were Natalia Kozlovska, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, Vitaliy Kindrativ, Deputy Minister of Economy of Ukraine, Oleksandr Novytskyi, Head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Development of Ukraine, Yegor Fareniuk, Director of the Energy Efficiency Fund, and Vasyl Uryvko, commander of a military unit. The main topic of the event was also the extension of opportunities for Ukraine’s defenders to buy their own housing in times of war.
Since the launch of ‘yeOselia’, citizens have purchased 2,005 apartments in completed new buildings and 145 in houses under construction. At the same time, the total number of mortgages issued amounted to 7,442 for a total amount of over UAH 11.3 billion.
