The aim is to establish joint work to improve the mechanisms for providing Ukrainians with affordable housing even in the face of a full-scale invasion. The memorandum was signed during a working meeting within the framework of the RECOVERY CONSTRUCTION FORUM 3.0, which took place in Warsaw (Poland).
The signatories were Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of Management Board at UFHC, Jon Erik Högberg, COO of Itera Group, and Frode Henning Killy, CEO of Moelven.
Ievgen Metsger emphasized that the yeOselia programme is the most successful affordable mortgage programmes in Ukraine.
“However, we do not plan to stop, and together with the Government and the Ministry of Economy we are constantly working to improve the programme so that as many of our citizens as possible can buy their own housing and return home. We are open for partnership and look forward to fruitful cooperation with our international partners,” – said the Chairman of Management Board at UFHC.
“We are very excited to be taking part in this signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with UFHC and Moelven Byggmodul AS. As Ukraine embarks on its reconstruction journey, there is an urgent need for expertise, products, and investment capital. And in this case – homes. We are honored to be invited by Ukrainian authorities and businesses to advise them as well as Norwegian companies who want to enter Ukraine. This is business with purpose,” – says Jon Erik Høgberg, COO of Itera.
“It was a pleasure to see our CEO Frode Henning Killi sign the MoU. This agreement represents a joint commitment to develop tools for large-scale production of housing – both for internally displaced persons and for the general Ukrainian housing market,” – says Jørn Eirik Erlund, CSMO at Moelven Byggmodul AS.
In particular, the parties discussed further collaboration, support, counseling and assistance in establishing communications and partnerships with other international and national institutions.
Also, within the framework of the forum, representatives of UFHC took part in the round table “Best practices of housing finance and insurance in Ukraine”.
Earlier, UFHC and Norwegian companies discussed ways of cooperation on housing for IDPs
