The event was also attended by Yuliia Svyrydenko, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, and Volodymyr Kuzyo, Deputy Minister of Economy. The main topic of the conference was “The System of Affordable Rental Housing in Ukraine”. The event was organized by the European Investment Bank with the active support of the International Organization for Migration.
Ievgen Metsger, Chairman of Management Board at UFHC, and his deputy Oleg Zhuravlov participate in the conference activities. So far, they already held meetings with representatives of the International Organization for Migration, KfW, Council of Europe Development Bank, World Bank and IFC. They discussed, among other things, the prospects of attracting additional resources for affordable mortgage lending programs for Ukrainians, especially internally displaced by the war.
The conference is taking place from 23 to 26 January in Vienna and includes a number of formal and informal meetings to strengthen international cooperation with European financial institutions and find ways to additionally finance existing and future programs to provide affordable housing in Ukraine.
