Ukrainian Financial Housing Company together with the World Bank, IFC and partners considered the prospects for the implementation of Rent-to-Own in Ukraine

The Ukrainian financial housing company held a meeting with representatives of the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the World Bank (WB), Miyamoto International Ukraine and Integrites law firm. The parties discussed the results of IFC’s research on the potential for the development of the Rent-to-Own model in Ukraine, which allows tenants to gradually buy out their housing.

The key issues discussed during the meeting were

  • assessment of the potential of the Rent-to-Own product in the Ukrainian market;
  • key conditions required for its implementation;
  • opportunities for cooperation to develop financing mechanisms for housing solutions in Ukraine.

As a result of the meeting, the parties identified the first steps that will bring the possibility of introducing such a product in Ukraine closer.
