Housing is increasingly becoming part of the international agenda for Ukraine’s economic recovery. The development of a modern housing finance system was the key message presented by the delegation of the Ukrainian Financial Housing Company (UFHC) at the Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC 2026).
From 24 to 26 June in Gdańsk, the UFHC delegation, led by Chairman of the Management Board Ievgen Metsger and joined by Deputy Chairwoman of the Management Board Yaroslava Avramenko and Deputy Chairman of the Management Board Oleg Zhuravlov, participated in a series of international events dedicated to Ukraine’s post-war recovery, investment climate development, and private capital mobilisation.
As part of the official conference programme, UFHC representatives participated in thematic discussions organised by international financial institutions, business associations, and development partners, including the U.S.-Ukraine Business Council (USUBC), the European Business Association (EBA), UkraineInvest, and others. The discussions focused on Ukraine’s economic recovery, improving the investment climate, mechanisms for attracting private capital, and the role of the housing sector in post-war reconstruction.
Particular attention during URC 2026 was devoted to strengthening international partnerships. The UFHC delegation held bilateral meetings with international financial institutions, professional associations, and private sector representatives to discuss the implementation of modern housing finance models, the development of long-term financial instruments, and opportunities to attract investment into Ukraine’s housing sector.
URC 2026 confirmed that housing is increasingly recognised by international partners as one of the key prerequisites for Ukraine’s economic recovery. For UFHC, the conference provided an important opportunity to present its vision for the development of a modern housing finance system, deepen international cooperation, and launch new partnerships that will contribute to rebuilding Ukraine’s housing sector.
