15 thousand Ukrainian families have benefited from the yeOselia affordable mortgage program

15,068 families have purchased their own housing for almost UAH 24.5 billion. This became possible thanks to the state program of affordable mortgage lending yeOselia. The program was launched during the full-scale invasion in October 2022 by the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine jointly with the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Ukrfinzhytlo (UFHC).

According to Ievhen Metsger, Chairman of the Board of UFHC, the program was most used by military personnel and security forces, with 8,224 loans issued at 3% per annum. This is followed by Ukrainians who do not have their own housing and who can get a mortgage at 7% per annum – 3,334 loans. Also, 1,252 teachers, 1,241 doctors, 369 internally displaced persons, 328 veterans and 320 scientists have benefited from yeOselia since its launch.

“More than 15 thousand housing loans issued is a very high result for less than 2.5 years of operation during a full-scale war. We have become a leader in the mortgage market and continue to work to improve the program and enable as many Ukrainians as possible to buy their own homes. Today, more than 9.4 thousand children have already received a home thanks to yeOselia. This inspires us to look for even more opportunities to make this number grow. I am sure we will succeed,” emphasized Ievhen Metsger.

Earlier, it was reported that in terms of positive contribution to GDP growth, yeOselia ranks second among the “Made in Ukraine” programs
